About me
Hi I'm Paul, a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and I’m passionate about road safety. In 2009 I passed the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) Advanced Driving Test and was awarded the “Gosden Trophy” by the Ipswich and Suffolk IAM group in March 2010 for the “Best” new advanced driver of 2009. In May 2010, I also passed the RoSPA Advanced Driving Test, with the highest award standard of Gold on my first attempt.
I live in Hadleigh, Suffolk, where I am available to teach pupils in the Ipswich, Sudbury, Stowmarket and surrounding areas.
As an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) I am registered to teach the Pass Plus scheme, which provides newly qualified drivers with the opportunity to further improve their driving skills and as a result, potentially reduce their initial car insurance premium by up to a third with participating insurance companies! I also support local road safety initiatives, helping to train drivers in advanced driving techniques so that established drivers can develop their basic skills and become better, safer drivers.
I aim to make every lesson as enjoyable and educational as possible. My lessons are always conducted in a calm, friendly and relaxed manner, as I firmly believe in making pupils feel at ease during their training, (I can still remember how nervous I was when I started driving)!
I became a driving instructor because I wanted a job with real satisfaction and there is nothing better than seeing someone pass their test first time. I was also always being told by friends and work colleagues that I was a calm and relaxed type of person and that I would make a great Driving Instructor.
I was fortunate to be trained by LDC in the latest adult coaching and training techniques so you can be assured the training I give will be of the highest standard.
I chose to work with LDC because everybody is different and the LD system allows for flexibility in lessons so that you learn to drive safely at a rate that suits you. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and as productive as possible. The LD system just helps me to do this more effectively.
When I am not teaching my students, I like to tour in my Porsche and help raise money for various children’s charities with other members of the “Sporting Bears”, (a group of like-minded sports and classic car owners), or I may even be found taking some exercise on the tennis court!
